Annual statutory accounts need to be filed by all limited companies, including those that are dormant or not currently trading. Our annual accounts service also includes insight into how your financial position could be strengthened for the coming year. Once the statutory accounts are prepared, we then file them to Companies House in good time.

From 1 April 2027 as part of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act reforms, all businesses including small and micro-entities will need to file a full set of accounts including a profit and loss account using commercial software – paper and web-based submissions will no longer be accepted.

When to File your Statutory Accounts

If you have recently started a business, your first accounts must be filed 21 months after registration with Companies House. Thereafter, you must file nine months after the end of your company’s financial year. Your accounts must be approved by your company directors.
